Shot Challenges & Solutions

Challenge 1: Historical Accuracy

Creating historically accurate environments and removing modern elements from shots required meticulous attention to detail and extensive research.

Solution: Worked with the art department to develop reference libraries for period-appropriate architecture and environments. Utilized advanced cleanup and paint techniques to remove anachronistic elements.

Challenge 2: Digital Matte Paintings

Numerous establishing shots required full CG environments or extensive matte painting work to create the historical settings.

Solution: Collaborated with the matte painting team to integrate painted elements seamlessly with live-action footage. Focused on matching lighting, atmosphere, and lens characteristics.
